This image gets a special meaning in countries where abortion is banned. This image is very powerful because you can feel the pain caused by those coat hangers that Yoko has shaped as a heart. To realy understand what women went through the 60's and 70's and the years before abortion was legal I recomend you to see the film "Vera Drake" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vera_Drake
