i wish i could see the artistic value of weird, pointless, arbitrary nonsense, but my brain is just not wired that way, i guess. that is part of the nature of "art" - you are allowed to hate it.

@alejoarevalocastilla She posted the artist statement about the piece a while back. It is about different men in her life and the photo is a composite of her father, son and husband. The repetition of the photo is deliberate; if you don't understand the piece move on people and stop complaining.

@dietradee nope, yoko's memories are perfectly valid. i think her consistently overblown attempts at artistic merit are nonsense. again, eye of the beholder, i suppose. what some see as "deep" and/or "insightful" i see as kooky & weird. everyone is entitled to their own tastes...

She's just a person expressing herself like every other artist. It doesn't require judging or opinions. It's possible to read/look at things and just take them in and think about them without experiencing any angst.
